Founded in 1993 by Christine and Erik Maes, Père Olive is a food-processing company specializing in the packaging of fresh table olives and Mediterranean products. Père Olive’s innovation is to offer a large range of olives in controlled atmosphere packaging without oil or brine, thereby bringing olives to the fruit and vegetable department in hypermarkets. The company located in Andenne (Seilles) in southern Belgium, offers 9 varieties of olives (Chalkidiki, Volos, Kalamata, Beldi, Picholine, Cocquillos, Nyons, Manzanilla, Lucques) from Greece, Spain, Morocco and France in 70 different recipes. The company is also developing products based on processed olives and dried tomatoes, such as tapenade or tomanade. Père Olive is present in many countries and the European leader on the fresh olive market. The company exports its products under three brands (Père Olive, Apérolive, Signor Cempo) but also under the proprietary brand of distributors in Belgium and abroad.
