Rabo Capital was the private-equity arm of Rabobank, focused on investing in mid-market companies in the Netherlands and selected international markets. The firm specialized in supporting management buyouts, growth financing and succession situations across sectors such as food & agriculture, business services and industry. Known for its long-term, partnership-oriented approach, Rabo Capital combined financial backing with strategic and operational support. In 2014, the team spun out of Rabobank and continued independently under the name Nordian Capital, maintaining its investment focus while operating as an autonomous private-equity firm. Since then, Nordian has built a strong presence in the Dutch mid-market through active portfolio involvement and buy-and-build strategies.
